it is easier to replace it then to refinish car fiberglass is not that strong it does break down.

If your tub is in good condition and just needs refinished, I would go that route rather than replace it. For $ 150-200 you can get it professionally reglazed and it will look like new.

I was working in my bathroom and I dropped a screwdriver in the bathtub. This brilliant moved caused pitting. Can I repair the pits our do I have to get the entire tub reglazed? If I can just spot repair, how do I go about it?

I believe this os a total re-glaze. I had a chip in a sink afew years ago and that’s the only way they could fix it. I hope the technology has improved since then.

you can buy a product ,from lowes, to re finish your tub,
buy the spray can, product,
it works buy mixing up two spray cans , you need to read and understand ,the product ,
first ,lightly sand your tub, wash it out, and dry it ,
then spray it , take about 10 mins to spray , two light coats are better than one big one , great looking tub , after wards,
if you hire a pro , it will cost about $ 400 to $ 500 to re due it

My dog tore the vinyl top of the hot tub cover to shreds. I can’t afford a new one right now. Any ideas on how to fix it up so it will look ok for a year or so? I was thinking about maybe making a design of different colored duct tape, but didn’t know how that would look or hold up in the sun? Help please.

I work for a hot tub cover manufacturing company. I’m afraid duct tape would be your only answer. There is really no other way to put it back together. When you can afford one, ask your local spa store to find a “bone pile” cover that will fit your spa. They are much cheaper.

Check to see if you can locate exactly where the loud sound is coming from. The pump or motor may need to be replaced.

HI! We had our tub refinished a year ago. The cost was 350.00. Be very careful in who you use, there is a lot of bad company’s out there..get references before you hire some one, ask plenty of questions and make sure you know how long is it guaranteed for…hope this was helpful ..good luck!

Yes it is. It is less messy. Also a lot cheaper than ripping everything out and put up new walls.
They can put new liner over your existing walls and tub for less money.
Just make sure you have good foundation on your tub before you start the job.
You will enjoy it once it is done.
Put a different new look in your bathroom completely.
